(Holy Grail Records)
few months ago was made available to the public via the internet's debut album that this sextet Madrid is published now physically, gaining the deserved fruits in their perseverance and work since it began operations in 2002 with guitarist and singer Juanpa "Evildead" the front. In all this time have passed a number of musicians for the band to stabilize and consolidate launching this "Empty Words" in power metallers mixing sounds, touches of melodic death, gothic pieces, current and dark atmospheres. A darkness that covers the entire disc from the beginning with the extensive "Redemption" an intense and nuanced composition stuck by the battery rotunda Edu "Headcrusher" that supports voice games beuno constant throughout the work and Juanpa which puts their guttural tones with the cleanest and José tinged "The Maze" . For their part, the guitar's own Juanpa and JJ. "Crack" are an example of work and quite versatile ranging from melodic passages to frenzied attacks, completing the change of pace with the interesting work of M. keys Avila and Miguel low "Commander" . After the initial declaration of intent continuous darkness with "Passion", with tints more gothic and tortured, while "Final Chapter" moves for a more current paths and repetitive, like "My Own Torture" which starts slow and disturbing to break fast with death touch. A death touch also satisfied in the dense "Nema, Empty Words" featuring his good arrangements of guitars and keyboards, and the resounding "Almost Human" one of the notable by powerful and versatile sounds that range from the heavier musical ferocity to calmness acoustics. "Covenant Of Last Awake" is another of the cuts that I found most interesting and original cut rate changes, sharp guitars, and beautiful electro-acoustic pieces giving mystery to the piece in its central part. I found it less appealing the complex "Illeven Blood" tiresome and dull with some fragments of keys jangling enhanced by some good riffs and guitar solos worked. It comes complete with the latest disk and melodic power metallers "Lycantr" Hope "that provides an epic about a warrior, to close for good with a English version of the so called" Passion "which is musically no different from singing in the language Shakespeare. For a first album, made its own means and in a style that is not among my favorites, the truth is that I think reflects a strong personality, with pretty good sound, and a lot of work behind them.
